Forest Aviation Insurance History
World War II Air Force veterans, Bill Browne and Price Downey, became friends in the early 70's. Price Downey was a captain for United Airlines. Many of his colleagues owned aerobatic aircraft and had trouble getting insurance. Price came to Bill with this problem. Together they formed the Aviation Division of Forest Agency in 1973.
Forest Agency was the founding company of the IAC's first group insurance program and handled all of the coverage for most IAC members from 1976 on. Many of the IAC members had non-aerobatic aircraft; as a result Forest Agency expanded its aviation division to include non-aerobatic aircraft, as well.
Forest Agency has grown from a one-person operation in 1957 to sixteen people today, two of which support the Aviation Department. More than 3,000 clients have entrusted us with their insurance needs because of our expertise and customer-oriented service. Forest Agency products include: Auto, Home, Business, Health, Long Term Care, Life, Disability, and Aviation.
